Alex Yarbrough is a Partner with Riney & Mayfield LLP. He has experience in a variety of matters, and handles all aspects of litigation, state and federal, at the trial level and on appeal. His experience as a former law clerk for a District Judge has provided him with unique insight into civil procedure and the internal workings of the court system. Growing up the son of a district attorney, Alex has devoted a significant portion of his practice to defending cities, counties, and law enforcement in all manners of disputes. However, Alex’s practice focuses on all aspects of civil litigation, from pre-lawsuit resolution through the appeal of a judgment rendered by a trial court. Alex has successfully represented parties in pre-lawsuit resolution and throughout trial. He also handles a variety of real estate litigation, trucking and automobile litigation, commercial litigation, and premises liability. Alex has experience handling complex matters of wrongful death, Federal Employers Liability Act, and railroad grade crossing accidents involving catastrophic injuries.
Additionally, he has throughout his career helped financial institutions with collection matters and issues surrounding the security of collateral. Alex is active in the Amarillo community and has been heavily involved in the Texas Young Lawyers Association. Alex and his wife Kelsey have two children, Payton and Zane.
