Cyntia Ramirez

R.I.S.E Program (Sembrando El Sueño) - Rural Outreach Specialist

Cyntia was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, but her roots are from Guanajuato and Mexico City. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M in 2016, being a first-generation to do so in her family. She joined the FSS team in 2018 as a Parent Educator with the HOPES Program and found her true passion of advocating for the migrant population and guiding them through their parenting journey. Throughout this journey, she noticed that resources flyers were mainly just done in one language and took the initiative to create a Facebook page (Ayudas en Amarillo) translating these flyers for the Hispanic population and guiding them with resources. As of the end of 2021, she began serving as a Rural Outreach Specialist for Sembrando El Sueño, which provides services to migrant agriculture workers.
