At Family Support Services, our vision is “a community where individuals and families are healthy, stable, and violence-free.”

We offer many programs to achieve this vision in Amarillo, Canyon and across the Texas Panhandle.  Financial assistance available based on eligibility.

We want to help you and your family live without violence or fear. Information on our programs is offered on this website and through calling our main office at 806.342.2500 Monday-Thursday, 8am-8pm, and Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Our Crisis Hotline for victims of domestic violence and Sexual Assault is available 24/7 at 806.374.5433.

Behavioral Health and Wellness

At FSS, our caring and professional staff are dedicated to your well-being. We can help those struggling with depression, stress management, grief recovery, divorce recovery, eating disorders, anxiety and phobias, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, self-esteem, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress, and more. 

Crisis Response and Support

We provide assistance to victims of sexual assault, family violence and human trafficking in Amarillo, Texas and surrounding areas of the Texas Panhandle. Our programs are designed to provide safety as well as advocacy for victims, along with education on how to recognize signs of someone being a victim.

Emergency Housing Services

We operate an Emergency Safe House in a secure location for adults and their children who are survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault. Our Safe House provides food, toiletries, and other essentials. Advocates provide help with attaining goals and referrals. 

Education and Prevention

We provide educational programs, presentations and specialized training focusing on dating violence prevention, bullying, child abuse prevention, teen suicide prevention, parenting education and support, substance abuse prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, teen mentors, and more. Education and Prevention

Veterans Resource Center

Our Veteran Resource Center (VRC) is a veteran-staffed drop-in facility that provides veterans, family members and surviving spouses with the opportunity to make connections with peers, get help finding housing and employment, finding out about eligible benefits, and recovering from PTSD and other effects of service. Veterans Service Center
